Unit Summary
This unit presents a culture diversity unit for 4th grade students by using clothing. This unit focuses on the daily uses of clothing in different functions. Students can understand the relationship between climate and clothing, what kinds of clothes they should wear in different activities. This unit will also explore the relationship between textiles and geographic location and introduce some folk costumes in the world. Students can also experience making their clothing at the end of the unit to express their feelings about clothing and write a report or make a portfolio about their understanding of clothing.
